About CACO-SF Bay Area Workshops:

We organize frequent workshops on various topics in drug discovery and development and provide these workshops as a minimum-cost service to scientists in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.  Members who are between jobs are allowed to attend the workshops paying only for the cost of the handouts. These workshops are always well attended, attracting approximately 150 attendees per workshop.  Each workshop is like a short course in one afternoon, covering both the fundamentals and applications of the topic in drug discovery and development. Our speakers are highly regarded, experienced scientists mostly from the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

Areas of workshop topics:

  • Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics

  • Analytical chemistry / mass spectrometry

  • Pharmaceutical development

  • Preclinical studies
